The Turkish Traffic Accident Relief Foundation, the Founding Foundation of the University, was established in 1972. In the third article of the Foundation Act ‘Traffic, stated in the Purpose section of the Foundation, to prevent work, sports and other accidents, disasters and disasters, and to provide emergency, medical and social assistance for injuries and diseases resulting from them, to carry out rehabilitation services and to cooperate on these issues, to open up schools including Higher Education institutions, to train all kinds of personnel needed, to provide necessary tools and equipment, to provide, since the training on these is established for reasons such as ’ cooperating with the relevant organizations for conducting other scientific activities with courses and seminars, it is foreseen that it provides education, research and services on these issues.

Our main ideas in opening a university are to determine the preventive, protective and therapeutic principles and methods within the main framework of the Foundation Act, especially against accidents, disasters, physical and mental problems that concern our society in the first place, in these matters, it is aimed to direct the awareness, methodology and relations and behaviors of health, education and public services that will guide our people and to direct them to other countries, state institutions and individuals and to train adequate and competent staff in these matters.

For this purpose, Medicine, Law, Education, Science and Literature (Statistics – Psychology), Economics and Administrative Sciences (Business, Business, The Faculty and departments of Political Science and International Relations-International Commerce) and the Graduate School of Nursing, the Vocational School of Health Services and the Institutes have been included in our establishment law.

In our university, it is envisaged that each student will be able to monitor the studies in his field at a contemporary level and learn the English language in order to benefit from all kinds of publications, studies and internet networks. After one year of preparatory class, professional additional foreign language programs are applied in order to be able to grow better in the branch of its choice.

Libraries and computer laboratories available to every student to study computers are open to students.

The tools and equipment of the university for training over the internet are provided.

A 221-bed Dr. Rıdvan Ege Health Research and Application Hospital has been put into service in the Balgat neighborhood for the Faculty of Medicine.
